The rue Montorgueil, surviving the old Halles market, is one of the last food market area in Paris. Its numerous bakeries, butchers and groceries give it an unique atmosphere during market days. It also has a large choice of cafes and restaurants, maintaining a constant crowd.

The Forum des Halles shopping center also provide numerous facilities to this neighborhood: large department stores, clothing shops, movie theaters, library, theater, swimming pool, gymnasium, gardens...

At a walking distance of less than 15 minutes, you have the Louvre museum, the Tuileries gardens, the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, George Pompidou center, the historical Marais neighborhood. Along the Seine's right bank, you'll find the Madeleine square, Concorde square and the Champs-Elysées avenue. Crossing to the left bank on the Pont Neuf bridge, you'll reach the Cité Island and then the Latin neighborhood (St-Michel, Odéon...) and the Orsay museum. At night you'll enjoy the proximity of the Comédie Française theater and the Paris Opera.
